General Game Gabbin'
Re: General Game Gabbin'
And then you realize that all the DLC out for SR3 is already on your SR3 disc, yet you don't have the right to access it

Re: General Game Gabbin'
Less that and more when you buy a game disc you expect everything on that disc. Anything less is withholding part of your purchase. It's taking up room you paid for.
Stuff goes here later.
Re: General Game Gabbin'
No, you pay for what the company gives you access to. Nothing more, nothing less.

Re: General Game Gabbin'
Then the company needs to not take up space on my disc, as I bought the physical disc along with all rights to every bit of data storage on it.
Keep DLC as a download.

100% Medically Accurate

Re: General Game Gabbin'
I don't really pay much attention to DLC so none of this matters to me very much.
I can say that I miss cheat codes though : (

Or, y'know, whatever.

I don't see exactly how it's supposed to save hard drive space.
They're on the disc so they go onto the computer along with the rest of the stuff right?
That seems like there isn't much choice whether you want it on the computer or not, whereas you can choose whether to download dlc or not.

Re: General Game Gabbin'
Reminds me of that new Skylanders game. You only get like 9 levels with the game purchase, and one of the new levels you can already buy is like level 25. Man fuck that game. Huge booty cash cow.Kalekemo wrote:And then you realize that all the DLC out for SR3 is already on your SR3 disc, yet you don't have the right to access it
Not liking how this is looking for the future of "DLC".

Re: General Game Gabbin'
I'm talking about console on-disc "DLC".Valbrandur wrote:I don't see exactly how it's supposed to save hard drive space.

I also think it saves time because you don't need to download a big file. It also means that companies have to pay less to host these downloadable files.Head of The Brothel wrote:is this some kind of jokeLe Great Handsome Oppressor wrote:I personally think it's a smart way to save hard drive space.

Oh well nevermind that then, that's out of my league of knowledge, I'm mostly in the blind here.

The fact that we don't own what we paid for, we paid for the right to use it is really, really awful.Le Great Handsome Oppressor wrote:No, you pay for what the company gives you access to. Nothing more, nothing less.
I bought it. It belongs to me. Yet I'm denied the right to what I paid for.

Speaking with your wallet is the only way to let most devs know that you don't like what they do.
And judging on how many other people are willing to pay for the games you blame... Yeah, I don't see it going away any time soon.
