Re: General Game Gabbin'
yeah how are you people not realizing you need motion+
I mean not only was it advertised as such, the entire game revolves around the fact. That was the big deal for this game, the whole 1:1 swordplay thing.
I mean it's the equivalent of buying Sonic Free Riders and not realizing you need Kinect.

Excuse me that there is no advertisement here, and I don't try to get as many informations on every game ever.
Sorry for not keeping up with what's new and just buying something spontaneously

I've seen the add and I didn't hear them mention it. Why would you asume we knew it needed the motion plus?

I remember Miyamoto demonstrating the Wii Motion Plus with SS back at one of the expos, but I didn't know/remember that you NEEDED Wii Motion Plus to play the game - I thought it was optional.

I'm wondering if I'm falling outside of the target audience for Mario now; the games don't really hold my interest any more.

I took a gamble and purchased my steamkey off a third party site for serious sam 3
I ended up saving like 15 bucks which worked out because I had like 8 short for purchasing it off steam
BUENO.

Re: General Game Gabbin'
Guys.
On the packaging for the (non bundle) game, right next to the rating, it tells you you need a Wii Motion Plus and that it's sold separately. On the back, in the top right corner, it tells you how many players the game supports and anything besides the Wii Remote that you need. It again shows that you need a Wii Motion Plus.
This is the kind of stuff you check out before you buy the game to begin with, or at least check once you have the game in your hands at the store.
If you bought from Amazon, they also have that information in the product description.
You don't need to dedicate your life to checking up on this stuff, but just blindly going in and making a purchase is kinda silly. :/

Re: General Game Gabbin'
pretty much what Kamak said
Even if you didn't know at first, it's all over the freaking game box. Not to mention it seems like you really have to TRY to not hear about it at LEAST on the internet.
You would have to like have bodaciously bought the game blind to almost all knowledge of it, and with your eyes closed when you grabbed the box.
I mean like, alright, it's not advertised a lot in your country but man it's on the internet. That's like for everywhere. It wasn't highly advertised in any specific location, it's mostly been online stuff and magazines. Most, if not all, of which at least MENTION it's Motion+ based.

Re: General Game Gabbin'
Oh, hey; regional packaging differences:

Sorry, I don't see what you're talking about there.

I've put the red box around the only part that tells the purchaser that they NEED a Wii Motion Plus.
Plus the emblem for the Wii Motion Plus can easily be mistaken for a regular Wiimote - and it doesn't say that it's REQUIRED - I did check this information in the top right corner - noticed it - and thought it meant OPTIONAL.
I also haven't shaved for a day or two. SORRY!

Re: General Game Gabbin'
the top right corner doesn't say what's needed to run it, just what your options are.
and its' not impossible to simply not know that you need motion+. I mean I haven't bought it but I've been looking forward to this for a while, and I don't think I've ever heard anybody say anything about it being required.

I don't follow any game blogs. I don't even go on the Zelda thread on this forum.Galaxy Man wrote: You would have to like have bodaciously bought the game blind to almost all knowledge of it, and with your eyes closed when you grabbed the box.

It was a spontaneous, blind buy
And the picture DnD just posted, as I said so many times I only checked on the top right corner what I can use to play the game: and it looks like a normal Wiimote symbol and a Wiimote+ symbol to me -indicating that it can be played with a normal Wiimote. And as I also said so many times, the notification that you need wiimotion+ is on the lower right corner (the red box in the picture), a part barely anyone checks

Re: General Game Gabbin'
Why would it be optional if it was in the corner of the packaging telling you it's something that's needed? It's not like "supports up to 4 players" which is about the only optional thing on that part of the packaging. And even if you thought it MIGHT be optional, you could have read the back and double checked (or in this day and age, checked the internet).
I'm not exactly sure how much hand holding a company needs to do to ensure that people understand what they need to do to play a game. If you've ever bought a PC game, you know to check the specs before you buy it in order to make sure you're not going to waste your cheddar on a game you can't play. Console games really aren't that different in that respect (Majora's Mask required an expansion pack for the console).
I'm not saying it isn't possible for people to not know about it, but it wasn't like it was some deep dark secret. :/

... What about all of the sites that have talked about how the game is entirely built around it? Or the fact that Nintendo has said the same, during BOTH E3 presentations, which most people have seen?impmon08 wrote:the top right corner doesn't say what's needed to run it, just what your options are.
