I hate EA right now. To play BF3 on the PCNot only do they want me to install Origin, which contains rootkits, but they want me to use BattleLog instead of a dedicated in-game server browser. I was looking forward to getting BF3 on PC now that I have something that can run it, but I'm just going to have to settle for Xbox.

The whole forcing people to install Origin thing is total bullshit and they're going to hopefully recieve quite a backlash from the gaming community. That, or it'll be hacked to somehow disable Origin

Origin doesn't even have any of the useful features of Steam, such as groups or events or sales. It's just their way of controlling profit from their games. When even asshole game companies like Activision still stay with Steam, you know you've made a mistake by leaving it.

Origin's been around for a while now, though. If you play the Sims 3 you have to use it, iirc.

I've never had to use it whenever I play the Sims 3, but whenever I turn on my computer, Origin tries to install itself for whatever reason. Just found another thing on the Skylander's bit that makes me declare the toys bullshit.
If a Skylander dies in-game, you have to wait for a set amount of time before you can use it again. Want to keep playing? Hope you bought more of the $8 toys to load a new character.
See, when this sort of thing interferes with actual gameplay that is when it has crossed the line.
