Favorite Puzzle-y games

Post by vannielou »

feel free to delete if this is already done, but I was curious what everyone's favorite puzzle video games were. And not like how in zelda you solve puzzles kind of way, but like tetris.

I of course love tetris and tetris 2 (NES)
Tetris attack rocks my socks off (and yeah I know there are other games just like it/did it first but I like the set up and songs in the yoshi one) and Pokemon Puzzle League because the 3D thing was cool (and yes I know it was done before)
Have to say Dr. Mario, I love on the 64 how you can play with four people against each other.

I loved tetris 2 because the bricks had pieces that broke off and flipped too. It was like an awesome mix of dr mario and the original tetris

I'm pretty sure I said this before, but I love me some puyo puyo games. Though the only ones I have are mean bean machine and puyo pop fever.

It's all about Dr. Mario.

Also, Red Remover.

I would agree with you, but I think I'll have you solve a puzzle for me first in order to know my true opinion instead.

Oh look a chair!

THAT REMINDS ME OF A MEANINGLESS PUZZLE ABOUT CHAIRS LUKE.

What's sad is that I managed to solve every single puzzle in the game.

Does Portal count? If so, I really liked Portal (though, to be honest, I liked it more for its story/atmosphere than the "puzzles")

Professor Layton was good and fun and all but by the end of the game the plot had bodaciously murdered my suspension of disbelief.

There were some other, more tetris like puzzle games I've played but I can't seem to remember them at the moment.

Major props for Puyo puyo though :D
I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.

Chips Challenge. It was originally for the Atari Lynx, but it's also available on Amiga, ZX Spectrum, DOS and Windows (as well as Microsoft's Entertainment Pack).

This game is so addicting!!

I loved that game.

I've been dying to play portal. But when you're sans the cheddar it's a little difficult
