It's Steiner! Seifer is a character in FFVIII though.

Ah yeah, Steiner, thanks! I'm not too good with names in real life, so it applies to games too.

FFIX came out on PC now.
Playing it alongside Dark Souls 3. (Or rather playing it when dying too much on DS3 starts to annoy me. :p )
It looks awesome.
Just left the Evil Forest.

Don't have any cheddar, but I think I've got the PS1 version of 9 buried somewhere. I'll definitely check it out after I finish 7.
Just got out of Midgar. That's means I'm like 95% done, right? ...right?

I was gonna make a joke about
leaving Midgar being 95% of the game but I forgot how many times you are able/have to go there.
Also on FF9 when I encountered
Black Waltz 3 Zidane was 1 hit away from Trance.
It was the easiest fight against him I've ever had. (Free Energy did over 500 damage.)
Also Zidane's clothes vanish when he Trances.

Holy carp that looks amazing. Definitely gonna play 9 at some point now.
On an unrelated note, an update on my playthrough of 7. Just before fighting the Materia Keeper, I realized I missed the second Enemy Skill Materia. I can go back to Junon and get it later, but this still upsets me.
(Also, why do I feel the need to use a guide, STOP BEING SO PARANOID ABOUT MISSING STUFF, ME!)

I've gotten that feeling a lot.
When I played FF5 I used a missables guide so I knew when there was something that I could miss.

I'm quite a bit late to the party but Final Fantasy XV has a release date.
30th September 2016, worldwide release.

I'm a Star Ocean fan and I'd more likely compare them to the Tales series than the Final Fantasy.
Final Fantasy now has so many battle variations for different games it's kind of hard to accurately compare other series to them.

Is that a remaster or a sequel? It's been so long since I played XII I barely remember it.

HD Remaster, with the Zodiac System new to everywhere outside of Japan.

I own 12 but I could never get into it, the story didn't appeal to me at all. Also I could not wrap my head around how the limit breaks worked at all.

FFXII pretty much has one of my favourite battle systems.
Its story isn't that great but that gameplay wins me over.
The Limits (Or Quickenings as they're labelled in game) simply have 3 tiers, with the stronger ones taking up more of the MP Gauge. 33% for each tier at all quickenings learned.
Think of a party of Vaan, Balthier and Fran. Everyone has max MP. The party is positioned so in Quickening mode, Vaan's attacks are Triangle, Balthier's are Square and Fran's are X.
Note: Spoilered for Quickening attack names.
Vaan starts off using Pyroclasm (3) using up all his MP, Fran's Feral Strike (1) is available if you press X.
Goes to Fran's attack, using up 33% of her MP. Balthier's Tides of Fate (2) is available, press Square and he does that, using up 66% of his MP.
Though now the next 3 options are Vaan's Red Spiral (1), Balthier's Tides of Fate (2) and Fran's Shatterheart (3). None of them have enough MP to use these Quickenings, so you press R2 to shuffle the options.
In this example, Balthier could still use his Level 1 Quickening and Fran, her Level 2. Vaan would need a Mist Charge option to come up to restore his MP before using another Quickening due to using up all his MP with Pyroclasm.

I remember Yiazmat, but that's pretty much PTSD as opposed to actual enjoyment. I think I'm overdue for another playthrough.
After I play through IX and Bravely Second. Again.
