Shadow Sneak would be good for finishing things off, but I think with its high defenses Dusknoir would benefit from Curse or Toxic. You could just use Curse and then Rest to heal the damage off or something.Marbus wrote: Dusknoir*: Adamant nature, Shadow Sneak, Payback, Rest and Ice Punch. It'll be holding a Chesto Berry
I'm not entirely sure about what to do with Dusknoir's moveset, I want to use its defences, but I also want to use its offensive abilities. Ah, decisions. I still want to keep it Adamant, however.

This is how well my underdeveloped team is doing against the first gym leader. Superfish is the last one standing and I closed the DS in hopes it will eventually be a Gyrados and I can reopen it and win.

You know what to do.

Just in case anybody missed it, it got bottom paged two pages back, and help will be very helpful indeed. Also, if you want a Pokemon named after you, let me know, because nickname ideas are currently nilMarbus wrote: *snrk*
I'm in the middle of working on a new team for SS, which is kinda stupid, since I'm still working on the Kanto Gyms. Anywho, I was wondering if people here could tell me what they think I plan on making my team, for the remaining Gym battles (I am still in the middle of getting the generator up and running), Red, and as a competitive team.
Flygon (Marbus): Adamant nature, U-Turn, Roost, Earthquake and Dragon Claw. Holding a Life Orb
Drapion (Spike): Adamant nature, Sniper for its ability, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Cross Poison and Crunch. Not holding anything right now, actually... thinking about giving it Soft Sand or something to increase Earthquake's damage.
Umbreon*: Bold nature, Wish, Protect, Will-O-Wisp and Heal Bell. It'll be holding Leftovers
Yanmega*: Modest nature, Speed Boost for its ability, Protect, Air Slash, Bug Buzz and Hypnosis. It'll be holding an Expert Belt
Scizor* (Plasma): Adamant nature, Technician for its ability, Swords Dance, Bullet Punch, Brick Break and Roost. It'll be holding a Life Orb
Dusknoir*: Adamant nature, Shadow Sneak, Payback, Rest and Ice Punch. It'll be holding a Chesto Berry
So yeah the Pokemon with * are the ones I am currently working on, and God daisies it'll take a while. But yeah. I'm not entirely sure about what to do with Dusknoir's moveset, I want to use its defences, but I also want to use its offensive abilities. Ah, decisions. I still want to keep it Adamant, however.

Err... Marbus, I just noticed: you have two Life Orbs in your team. While it's not normally standard, some competitive rulings (most notably, the Battle Tower and the entirety of Pokemon Battle Revolution) don't allow multiple items on a team. That's not to say you shouldn't usee two items whatsoever, but you should have a back-up item in mind for one of those two Pokemon.
Also, choosing 75-power Brick Break over 135-power Bug Bite for Scizor seems... a little off to me.
But then again, I never really found much use out of Brick Break's secondary ability, and have good times with Bug Buzz's "eat opponent's berry", so it might be just me.
