Why is Sabrina's Espeon so haxbroken? Did she give it ten X Sp. Atk. beforehand?
Burn 'em to shreds, tear 'em to ashes.

I believe Nintendo actually gave trainers EV trained Pokemon in HG/SS.

Uh... is Earthquake supposed to do the same amount of damage as Dig? ._. 'Cause I finally found the TM and taught it to my Arbok (I don't have a ground type leave me alone) but it did pretty much the same amount of damage to Lt. Surge's Raichu as Dig did the previous times I'd fought him. And my Arbok's gained a few levels since then. :L

Yeah, that's what's confusing me. Unless the power increase of 20 doesn't actually add much. I don't really know a lot about how the whole thing works. :psyduck:

Did you or Lt. Surge use any temporary stat boosters?
Was it a critical hit and you weren't paying attention?

Nope (I don't think I've used any of the X whatevers in my entire time of playing Pokemon ._.) and nope. I tried resetting and doing it again and Earthquake does do more damage than Dig, but only by a small amount. Meh, maybe I was just expecting too much from it. :L

So, my Jirachi run of Platinum. SWEPT through Eterna Forest, probably missed an item.
And then there's the Old Chateau. I sequencebroke my way past those two trees, and set out on A GENGAR HUNT.
Not a Gastly hunt. If you plug in a pokemon game into the GBA, there's a 4% chance of one appearing in the painting room. I had LeafGreen, so...
7 resets, 3-4 hours later
Fuck it, i'll just take a Gastly and leave.
Everybody gets a promotion, so that means new names all around.
Other Car
lv. 17 Gastly
Bashful. Moves include Spite, Mean Look, Curse and Night Shade.
Kenny
lv. 21 Munchlax
Relaxed. Lick, Tackle, Recycle, Amnesia.
THE BEST
lv. 4 Bidoof
Godlike. Rock Smash.
Turtulls
lv. 22 Grotle
Hasty. Bite, Curse, Absorb, Razor Leaf.
CPUCharger Laptop Charger wouldn't fit.
lv. 19 Luxio
Sassy. Bite, Leer, Charge, Spark.
JIRACHI
lv. 20 ^
Gentle. Swift, Psychic, Rest, METEOR SHITSTORM.

SHould have named Gastly 'Dad'.

And I love the dongle method.
You're in there training for Sp. Atk (I think it's Sp. Atk, anyway) and out of all the Gastly there's suddenly a Gengar.

No, I never bother to EV train.
I just had a lv. 16 out, had a bunch of repels up, and ran every time I'd see a lv. 16-17 Gastly. (Since the Gengar is only lv. 16, this helps a little bit.)
Also I feel uncomfortable riding 'Dad.'

4% is still really low. I only ever found Gengar twice by chance. And I always got them already by trading, so it didn't really matter.

I found Dunsparce and Yanma (twice) at a 1% encounter rate, it's not that bad.

Does anyone have a Zangoose they'd be willing to trade? I really don't want to have to faff about in the Safari Zone. :psyduck:

Okily dokily :) I have a lot of stuff I can give in return, so if there's anything you're after in particular, just let me know and I'll see if I have it.
