My Charizard knew Flamethrower, Cut, Strength, and Fly. Don't feel so bad, we've all done it.

I think the closest I've ever gotten to level 100 with a Pokemon that wasn't already a high level to begin with is my Swampert, which is in the 80s range. And once again he's only like that due to prolonged exposure to the Elite Four. :B

My Breloom will probably be the first to reach lvl 100 because she's the only one I take out in my Pokewalker regularly.

She's almost at level 80 now, which is as high as I've trained a Pokemon really.

Occasionally I'll look at a Pokemon and be like "HM. They'd be good with this many EVs in this stat, this many EVs in this other stats..." and then I get them the EVs and train them up to 100 and never use them again.

I'll chain shinies and never look at them again.

Oh hey Ponyta, I forgot you were still here. Whoops!

The first pokemon I got to level 100 was my Feraligatr in my first pokemon game, Gold version. After that I got a level 100 Charizard in FireRed and I have a level 92 Rayquaza in Emerald.

Meh. I don't do a whole lot of grinding.

I was replaying Silver again for the first time in ages not long ago and whilst I was grinding my team I came across a shiny Ratatta, but I had no Pokeballs since I used them all up trying to get a Gastly. ;A; I know I wouldn't have been able to do much with it, but still. Very irritating.

It's funny 'cause I got my very first legitimate shiny completely by accident. I was playing Sapphire and was going through some random patch of grass when my repel ran out, but I was only a few steps away from a grass-free zone, so I decided not to re-spray and just kept going, thinking it was unlikely I'd encouter a Pokemon.

And then a shiny Electrike popped up.

And I regret evolving it because it looked so much better as an Electrike

I remember beating the Elite in Silver about a hundred times. So I had some level 90 Pokemon there, but not level 100 for some reason. I only ever got Pokemon to that level by using the Missigno. glitch.

I wonder if my Silver copy still works. If I checked, I would probably be sad if it didn't, even though I wouldn't want to play it for long anyway.

Man, I remember when I played Pokemon for the first time! I didn't have any problems exiting my room or antyhing, but I didn't understand that I could heal my Pokemon at the Pokemon Center, or change their order. Neither did I get the whole buying items from the Pokemart-thing. For the longest time I couldn't get past Vermilion City because I didn't get that I needed to teach a Pokemon Cut.

(Finally my cousin helped me out, though.)

Thinking back, I just. Wtf self.

When I first started I had no idea how to catch Pokemon. :B I had one of those old strategy guides and read something about pressing A (but they were talking about that button-mashing "trick" when a wild Pokemon's in the ball), so I tried it in battle and just ended up attacking. :B Thank god for that grumpy old man in Viridian city.

...Apart from that I didn't have much trouble with the game. Although I looked at my old team on my Yellow version not long ago and my Pikachu is level 60 while the rest are around level 25 and below, so I assume I was one of those players who just spammed a single Pokemon so they ended up stupidly overpowered in comparison to the rest of the team. Which is a stark contrast to nowadays where I try to have all my team at a similar level.

Haha!
My old Sapphire and Emerald teams were like that.
Blaziken at level 80 or so, and the rest were just whatever I caught that was at the highest level.

Somehow when I was little, the first time I played Sapphire (yes it was my first) I knew how to do everything but catch the Pokemon. I thought that making them faint = capturing them, I didn't figure it out until later why I didn't have any Pokemon.

I can't even remember what my very first team consisted of. ._. All I know is I had a Blastoise and I beat the Elite Four while I was walking up town with my Gameboy Colour (and somehow not walking into everything). Why I remember that in particular is beyond me.

I bet you watched the anime.
"LOOK IT'S KNOCKED OUT/DEAD THROW A POKEBALL."
"LOL K"
"SHAKESHAKESHAKEDING"
"I CAUGHT ME A POKEYMAN"
In the games you have to be careful to catch them...

Never had Hey You Pikachu, but I wanted it.
Pokemon Stadium was used all the time. Mostly to play Red, Blue, and Yellow on the TV.
I had Pokemon Snap, too. Still have it, actually. And Stadium, but I can't play GB games since the pack thing broke.

I wanted Stadium 2, but never got it.
