I beat Red without using any legendaries, or Dragonite, or Tyranitar, or any traded Pokemon.

So it took a little while, but it was fun.

Before D/P/Pl, Red's Pikachu was the strongest trainer-owned Pokemon in all of the games at level 83.
In D/P/Pl, the rivals Infernape ends up at level 85.
So, in HG/SS, they made Pikachu 88 and upped the rest of the team's levels to make it, once again, the hardest battle.

I think the idea here is that Tyranitar is just a monster. Not that it isn't unavailable (Plus, raising ANYTHING to level 55 is hard considering there's no VS Seeker).

I don't know, plenty of other commonly available pokemon have attack and special attack stats that are comparable with tyranitar's attack. Unless you're talking about his defenses as well. In that case, yeah, I guess Tyranitar is a bit of a monster.

Hoho. Just a bit.

Kinda like how Wobbuffet is just a bit annoying, and how Garchomp is just a bit drastically overused.

Just went to catch Mewtwo for the first time (for some reason I never actually got around to doing so in any of my games) and got him on my second ultra ball, which was very anticlimatic. ._. Was I just lucky or is he easier to catch nowadays?

Fucking Deoxys Attack Form is what you'd call a monster. For comparison, Tyranitar has base 134 attack, which is excellent, but Deoxys has base 180 attack and special attack. Along with base 150 speed, the second fastest pokemon, only outspeeded by Deoxys Speed Form. Seriously.

Ninjask doesn't count because you have to let it's speed gain.

He's talking about base stats.

No
What?
No.
Ninjask has 10 base speed more than Deoxys Attack.

So wait, let me get this straight. You think:

The fluffy tarantula one is probably an evolution Ariados... because they both have four insect-y legs and have two somethings sticking up somewhere near its back.

The spikey red-and-dark-plue is probably an evolution of Nosepass because... it has sorta the same colour scheme, and both look sorta rocky despite being not even remotely the same shape.

And best of all,
The sarcophagus is probably an evolution of Spiritomb... because the former is based on a receptacle found in Egyptian tombs, while the latter has the word "tomb" in its English name.
I mean, even Dusclops would be a better fit, being a Mummy and all!

And by "you", I mean "DnD", as well as "This is bad enough for me to call you a complete moron with a straight face"!
