Skarmory could just have a stat shift. Like switch it's good defense for a good Sp. Defense. Most Steel type have horrible Sp. Defense, I wouldn't mind a couple more with good Sp. Defense.

That completely defeats the point of "evolution".

I beat Pryce and the Rocket base in Mahogany before going to Olivine.

Meh. The gyms in Johto aren't in any particular order. I beat Pryce before I beat Jasmine simply because his levels were lower than hers.

The only thing is that to unlock the Rocket takeover in Goldenrod you have to have seven badges.

That's not to say it guaranteedly won't have a new evolution: if Skarmory gets nerfed* enough in the new generation, it can still get an evolution. That's why Dusknoir exists, despite that Dusclops was really great in Gen3.
Still highly unlikely though.


*GameFreak's unique in that it doesn't actually ever nerf anything, or change stats. Rather, everything else gets naturally better!



Speaking of evolutions, I can practically guarantee that Mawile's gonna evolve! It's one of the most popular Pokemon of all, but is absolutely rubbish in battle!

I've also got an inking feeling Steelix is gonna evolve too. Simply because it's gotten progressively further and further behind in the metagame since its introduction as one of the best Pokemon of all. Either
that, or he just gets some new moves that really benefit its abilities, like Aggron did in HG/SS.





In other matters, I somehow managed to post this in an entirely different forum!

Ugggghhhh. I'm on Citadark Isle and two of my Pokemon went down fighting Aldon. The only reason more didn't go down is because of my Hyper Potions, every time his Shadow Pokemon attacked at least half of my team was compromised. And it'll be even harder later on when I go to face Greevil, even with Shadow Lugia. And I'm scared more of these guys will have Shadow End.

So Reshiram is Dragon/Fire and Zekrom is Dragon/Electric?

It seems like the whole black/white thing is of secondary concern - unless the lesser legendaries in this game are more involved in the black/white thing.

I'd rather see more completely new pokemon than new evolutions for oldies, honestly. I don't think it's as creative, and I also don't think that every pokemon NEEDS to evolve. Some can just stay mediocre. If they were meant to be stronger than they probably wouldn't have been made so crappy to begin with.

Funny story, Scyther and Scizor have the same base stat total but a different spread. I think there are a few others too, but I am unsure.

Hell yeah I just kicked Grand Master Greevil's pasty white booty. I even caught his Zapdos. Also, all of Eldes's Pokemon were weak against Ice types except Lapras. IT SURE IS A GOOD THING I HAD MY WALREIN AND MY AMPHAROS AT THE FRONT OF MY TEAM.

I imagine it would look like some giant octopus/hydra/sea serpent with pieces of broken shell stuck to its body.

I was so stupid when I was 9. I used Shuckle as an offensive Pokemon and thought it sucked.
I didn't really understand the concept of stats back then.
