Also glad that Roy's alt costumes have meaning this time around. The gold one is from Melee, but they're actually based off of real characters in FE6 this time, so that's cool.
Though no Eliwood alt costume is a little disappointing, as well as no new FE trophies that AREN'T FROM AWAKENING.

Neutral B Hadouken can change based on SF-style button input

He can use a focus attack that Crumbles the opposing character, with a new Crumble animation

He has two different Final Smashes based on distance from opponent: from a distance, he'll use his Shinku Hadouken, up close, a Shin Shoryuken

Hm. It seems Roy's basically gonna be a mix of Marth and Ike now or something.
Seems cool, but still gonna be eternally angry at Roy's inclusion just because opinion. And lack of Eliwood alt.

Roy looks faster than Marth in like, every area. The downside seems to be that his recovery game is fucking shit.

Which actually seems like the case for Ryu too.

Not really, he's kind of a Falco to Marth at this point. His different attacks are jab - ftilt - fsmash - utilt (the animation is different but it looks to have the same kinda hitbox as Marth's) - dash attack - dair - neutral B - upB, so he still has 6 normals and 2 specials similar to Marth + the grabs.
He should still play very differently because of his high speed and the different properties on his attacks, yeah. He's definitely no Lucina (or no Melee Roy) but he's no Lucas or Wolf either.

Can't access the eShop right now due to servers being unable to handle it.

Really hoping the characters and stages come in a cheaper bundle, rather than having to buy it all seperately.

EDIT: Well, there's a bundle, but it includes the Mii costumes, which racks it up to above 20 bucks and almost 30 if you want it on both systems. Urgh, gonna have to think about which characters I really want now. (As well as if I want Dream Land or not.)
