Also when in doubt/danger, don't forget the cape. His normal down air is super great after throwing someone up, and his side air is a great meteor. It may be annoying to some, but his up tilt chains well and is good for building damage.

Smash 4 is one of thosegames iI seriously don't get how people can be so good at, like, how can people play a 2D game with a joystick of all things? When I try to attack in the opposite direction, it always becomes some other attack I didn't intend for.

Uh
tap left/right to change directions first
THEN input the command for whatever attack you want

Yeah, I used to be like that during casual matches with buddies during the Era of Brawl. I used the Wii Remote, for something like five straight years. And I didn't have a problem with it.

But the other month, I went back to Brawl after having played Smash 4 for several months with the Gamecube Controller (and the 3DS, which I still use quite frequently) and I felt like my hands were going to fall off. And to make matters worse, I used to main Lucas. How the hell did I ever use PK Thunder properly with a D-pad?! And I looked through my replays and I saw a grab? How???

Speaking of Lucas, I'm still super hype for him coming sometime this month. When I switched to the GCN controller he was pretty fun to play in Brawl, too. Those dang f-tilts and u-tilts, man, their range is absurd. And even though it's leagues worse than Ness's, his F-air is also pretty satisfying to land despite being a fairly basic move.

Holy shit that Duster outfit is so great. I know what I'm using at least half of the time.

Lucas seems so perfect in the Smash 4 style.

it has been way too long since i've played smash and i am completely fucking trash with sonic now, it feels like all my inputs happen just milliseconds too late and it fucks me over so hard

it could also be that every fucking match i've had has been laggy but i never noticed it when i played as my other mains, jiggs and ganon, so i feel like it's gotta be just being out of practice

Lucas comes out on the 14th and then the nintendo digital event is on the 16th, they must be announcing the next dlc character then.

In an ideal world it'll be Ryu and Roy will be a surprise announcement at the Fire Emblem concert

I was hoping they would ave Ryu for EVO so maybe they'll throw a curveball with a new person, maybe the results from that poll thing. Is that still going on?

EDIT: apparently that poll is going on until October so they're probably going to either drag out releasing characters or put out many more characters.

...I know Roy's our boy for some people, but do we really need a second Marth clone who is only special cause t3h ph1r3? Is he really that popular in Japan because of his own game, or is that still just Melee talking?
