Duck Hunt is powerful and has a ton of guns at his disposal like a true gunslinger

So is this game amazing? Crisp really wants me to get it so we can fight each other.

i wouldnt call it amazing. its good certainly and quite fun, but not amazing.

Time will tell if it's better competitively than Melee, and the 3DS version definitively isn't due to bodaciously almost all the stages being the farthest from tournament legal, but it's 100% better than Brawl and as an overall game it's got Melee beat down so fucking hard.

edit: okay seriously i've fought like 40 matches today and every time

nobody seems to understand that A) get the fuck the way out of little mac's smash attacks, and B) do not fight me on the ground unless you have a ton of super armor use the air everyone else has fantastic air game compared to little mac use it jesus christ

Played a few more games online, is the online still seriously this easy? I've won almost every match I've played online.

I'm not even bragging, I want a bloody challenge, someone seriously give me a fun time with Shulk.

in the first day it was really just generally difficult, but now it's like i'm fighting millions of five year olds and demolishing them

I could barely even play online yesterday; there was so much lag. Has it gotten better?

some matches can get pretty bad, but generally the quality has come up significantly

Haven't been able to connect to online for almost a day, connection test says everything's fine and the eshop works. Google doesn't help much either, and it's starting to annoy me.

I've only played a friend's copy (waiting it out for the Wii U version over here) but is it just me or has Kirby been buffed? His smashes and throws feel so good. They're not 64 level but from what little I played I was having flashbacks.

Also Ness's PK Magnet is insane now. It 's way larger and it pulls absorbable projectiles towards itself. Also Ness has the best new Master Belch shirt.

kirby is actually one of the better characters now but i see nobody use him

of course, if you looked at my recent matches, it'd look like we were all back playing melee because holy shit pick someone other than who was good in melee

like melee's metagame was dominated by marth and fox and whatever because they were the best characters in a sea of bad characters but now we're looking at the first game of all of them to have everyone be about the same level, with playstyle being what matters most.

so now, marth and fox (oh wow especially fox) and dr. mario and fuckin' whatever are all relatively plain and substantially less fantastic.

but it's like everyone just wants melee 2: the return of like six worthwhile characters

I think the Wii U version will be better competitively mostly due to better stages and controls, but I think the 3DS version can definitely hold up on its own

the 3DS version is fantastic but half the stages are so horrible it's physically painful to play on anything but FD versions

so yeah the wii u version is probably gonna be the definitive comp version
