As much as I'd like to see that, Nintendo would probably go in the way of Megaman before her. But I guess we can hope. She could be a DLC character or something.

And why not? If Nintendo does get into DLC (which it looks like they are) Smash Bros. will probably be one of the first games that gets the treatment.

Because Nintendo has stated that any big game of theirs that gets DLC won't have anything like DLC characters/levels, because they're not going to sell "an unfinished game" to consumers.

That seems kind of stupid. I mean, so many people like DLC, so many other multiplayer games have DLC, does that make those games "unfinished"? What they should do is give us enough stuff in the game to make us pop flyin', but also release DLC. I fail to see the problem here!

DLC characters are a bad idea for Smash because it's the crucial element of the game. Stages and costumes and such, not a big deal, but if you have DLC characters it's like you don't have the full game unless you buy them. DLC characters just hasn't worked with fighting games in the past.

DLC items could be cool. You could also get new Pokemon to come out of Pokeballs 'n' stuff

There's nothing wrong with DLC in of itself, but I do appreciate the sentiment that Nintendo presents.

Yes it has. Soul Calibur IV tournaments allow Yoda and Darth Vader, MvC3 tournaments allow Shuma and Jill, only Mortal Kombat 9 tournaments don't allow Rain and Scarlet because they say they are fucktardedly overpowered (Freddy too but he's still manageable).

Nothing wrong with DLC. And considering we're talking about Nintendo, while I'm doubtful they'd do DLC stuff, I'm sure the game would be very complete and fun in the first place. DLC characters later on would be a great plus.

Also: what stages from Brawl would you guys want to see in SSB4?

Port Town, but I'd love to see the GX incarnation of Mute City as a stage.

Except those got a negative fan backlash; whether or not they're justified, a lot of fans get upset at the prospect of paying for new characters.

I really hope they keep the Halberd. That was an awesome idea for a Kirby stage.

Can't blame the game company for having stupid fans.
