Re: Super Smash Bros
I'd do her Imp form and have her float around or create shadow wolves she rides on. Her Final Smash would either be the Fused Shadow or her true form. I'm leaning towards her Fused Shadow thing.
Character is what you are in the dark.

I think Ridley could make a very interesting character.
And If they had Midna, she would probably be in Imp form, as that is more recognizable, and she has Magic and shit.

Re: Super Smash Bros
Ridley's really the only possible Metroid character, I think; he can be resized easily and already has been for various games, and he's incredibly important. The only thing that can cause Samus fear.
Midna's not that exciting of an option for me...I love her as a character, there are just so many other Zelda characters I think would be better to fight with.
I hope the customization just sticks to creating your own character. Then they could control it; not allowing it online and such. When it comes to the actual roster, I'd prefer everyone's characters worked the same.

Re: Super Smash Bros
If everyone was the same then it wouldn't be fun, or interesting. The feel of a character needs to differ, or else it's just like playing the same character just with a differen't move set. Which wouldn't be as fun.
As for Midna her final smash could be her turning into her true form, then the next smash could be her using the fused shadow, and then reverting back to her imp form.
Kind of like what they do with Samus.

Seriously guys, you don't do that. You can make Olimar big enough to fight other characters, but you don't shrink Ridley. You just don't.
I do like the idea of playing as Midna. Though I always thought it would work better if she were on Wolf Link's back. The moves practically write themselves.
Special: Midna fires a bolt of darkness, similar to the spell she used to break Link's chain.
Up special: Midna selects a target point and Link jumps to it. Pretty much just a recovery move.
Side special: Midna creates a dark field, auto-targeting any opponents who wander into it. Wolf Link attacks them.
Down special: Transform into Link.
Final Smash: She uses the fused shadows to turn into that twilit squid thing.
She'd also have a chain grab(phantom hand).
Dark Samus actually could be a character who isn't a direct clone of Samus. For one thing, she couldn't turn into Fan Service Suit Samus. Second, her special moves could be different. I've got a few ideas, but I think one list of special moves in one post is more than enough. Let me know if anyone's interested.

They shrinked Bowser. Why not Ridley? It's not like he'd be ridiculously small either.

Re: Super Smash Bros
Ridley's primary character traits are being large and a dragon/pterodactyl, most people don't know anything else about him

Not that he gets enough character development, mind you.

Re: Super Smash Bros
I don't understand how being too big is apparently the main reason Ridley shouldn't be in Smash Brothers.

Re: Super Smash Bros

Actually, come to think of it, Ridley's second stage could be his playable form, and his winged form could be his final smash. SCREW YOU, I LIKE OTHER M.

Re: Super Smash Bros
Make Metroid capable of changing between stages of metamorphosis. Terrify your friends and enemies.
Character is what you are in the dark.

How would they make Ridley a character at all? Apart from the whole being ten times the size of most characters thing, from the Metroid games I've played it seems that all Ridley can do is fly around and be a dragon. Not exactly an ideal moveset.

Re: Super Smash Bros
Well, all Bowser did prior to Smash Bros. is...
Breathe fire? Some Butt Stomping?

We've already mentioned that scaling characters is not an issue.HostileVaporeon wrote:How would they make Ridley a character at all? And fly around and scratch, breath fire balls/breath, moves similar to when you fight him in the story mode.
Much easier to make a character than fucking Olimar.
