I play brawl when I have nothing to do or am really bored. I'm just going to say that is quite often.

Marth: UpSmash (while running), Jump - Air UpSmash, Air DownSmash, Ground - Side Smash or SideSpecial. Gets quite a bit plus if I get the enemy in the air for awhile ,I can rack up more damae than usual.

A brawl tournament? Is this another one you're holding on AZ, or is it a real life thing? If it's the latter, make the former, please. I would enjoy another tournament.

It's an RL tournament.
I am actually going home this weekend and probably bringing back my Wii, so in the foreseeable future I might do another AZ tournament, if anyone is interested in one. I'll make a thread for it within a few days and see when the date works out.

Ike combo: spam up-tilt until they're popped up then up smash and win.

Don't forget to use your other aerials for spacing and your down tilt for quick & safe attacks. Marth is also good at grabbing people and some of his throws might combo into other moves at low %.

3 things that make me lol in smash brawl...

people who think brawl link is a decent character, despite having the worst recovery in smash history(on an ironic side note, they buffed his recovery incredibly in melee, why they decided to nerf it again is beyond me), which single handedly causes him to be at a major disadvantage in 3/4 of the matchups in the game, usually getting shut down as early as 60-75% most of the time...

people who don't realize why ice climbers are one of the most frustrating and terrifying characters to face http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSkCGa_J5wY

and finally the biggest, people who think Ike is oped despite being one of the most mediocre and in many ways, underpowered characters in the game, nothing is more hilarious then seeing a newb ike player face a decent player who knows where the shield button is and how to sidestep dodge moves(down on control stick while shielding) suddenly the ike is horrified "WTF HE DODGED ALL MY FORWARD AND UP SMASHES?!?! BUT THEIR SO OPED, HOW THE HECK IS HE DOING THAT!?! WHY CAN'T I HIT HIIM WITH ANY OF MY MOVES!!" cuz you know...having some of the slowest moves in the game that leave you a sitting duck when they miss, some of which are slower then ganons, isn't a major handicap and all....

just felt like saying it.

Marth is a beast in the air! I don't like to use the grabs often since they don't do much damage but it like you said, you can put throws into the combos.

His down-special is a good move to use I'd you can predict attacks.

On Link's nerf, almost the exact opposite happened to Kirby. Incredible nerf in melee, average in Brawl and ridiculously OP in the original.

I tend to use beefier chars simply because it gets nuts with so much crap going on. Nice to know a single smash attack won't send ya flyin'. You savor each wallop and it's absolutely beautiful when you knock three fools off the stage with a well placed blow.

I tend to use average sized characters so I can deal decent damage while still remaining agile enough for devastating combos involving good running speeds and jumping quick.

I tend to use midgety fast lightweights, and bizzarely enough, all of them seem to have that one move that must be spammed at any cost.

Kirby- Hammer/Stone
Lucas- Both versions of PK Love(up smash/down smash)
Toon Link- Dat downstab

toon links downstab and lucas's up smash and down smash, for me are like all of ikes smashes, its easy to avoid so i more or less love to find those who spam it, they learn real quick after i dodge each one to move on to some other move though...well usually

honestly all moves like that are easy to avoid, sonics down air, zss's, shiek's, toon links, kirby's down b ike's forward and up smashes, luca's upsmash etc. Any move that has noticeable start up lag at the start like that is pretty easy to avoid. When you have a move like metaknights down smash though that comes out in like 4 frames and ends just about as fast as your shield drop animation, so he can pretty much spam it again :shakefist: yeah...that's annoying. then to make things worse the range on that thing for his size is ridiculous, seriously.
