Okay, bad news. Doing Boone's quest made me hostile with the Legion again, and since they already gave me a free pass I can't undo it. Even with console commands, I can't remove the failed quest that makes the Legion hostile for the rest of the game. I can make it so they don't attack me on sight, but every time I try to enter a dialogue with any Legion member, the game just says no. If I can't figure out how to fix this, I might have to seriously rethink how the rest of the game is going to go, because I had the next few updates pretty much planned out and they involved a friendly reputation with Caesar.
I'm thinking maybe, if I can't find an easier fix for this, I'll just take note of all the quests I've done, all the items and cheddar I have, what level I'm at and what perks I have taken, and just restart the game and use console commands to reset everything to where I was before I fucked this up so badly.

Reload a save?
restarting won't be such a big deal

I would have had to kept a save from way back before doing Boone's sidequest. Even if I wanted to do that, I don't have one available.

Put on a Legion uniform, doesn't that automatically change your reputation?

It gives you neutral.
But dogs with sniff you out and anybody higher than a grunt will see through your disguise.

The rep isn't the problem, the problem is that I've technically failed the "Beware the Wrath of Caesar" quest that makes them hostile for the rest of the game. I can set us to be friends again, but I can't remove that quest for some reason, and with it sitting in my "completed" list no Legion member will talk to me.

Patience.

It's not just the Legion, it's that now he's locked out of doing House's quests without a major bloodbath to carve through the Legion.

I feel compelled to say something.
I've tried everything I can think of. The only option left I can think of is to restart and use console commands to get back to where I should be. So this deal is gonna be on hiatus until I find the motivation to write down every quest that I've completed, every item I own, every perk I've taken, etc.
I'm not quitting. I won't quit. I feel obligated to complete this and it will be finished. I just can't commit to any sort of timetable at this point.
