AWKWARD ZOMBIE

Guys, one of my ideas hasn't been used in months. Katie doesn't pick one comic idea and not another. There are people who posted a single comic idea and got it used. She doesn't schedule them. She doesn't play favorites. She uses ones she wants to use and make no mistake, she doesn't need any of them. I started formatting mine to make them easier to read and keep track of more for myself, and because it made it easier for the other forumites to make sense of them. They were easily confused and even more easily angered. Katie once used a comic idea of mine that I wrote almost a year beforehand and she certainly didn't use any of my first hundred or so ideas. She could have any number of comic ideas, mine or otherwise, already drawn and scheduled to be released. You won't know till she posts it. Take note, she doesn't provide any feedback on these things, she's got the whole school, promising career, job search, life thing going for her. Those times when you see Zomnambulist online, that's her checking up on the thread.

Christ on a bike, Omni, belay that name! You've compromised her identity! The mission is over!

Anyway, I'm actually very aware that Katie doesn't use your ideas just because you are Omnithea; any time I seem frustrated or angry, I'm just playing up the AZ character personality and hoping it makes people amused because I enjoy making people smile, even if I suck at it. As I've mentioned before, I don't expect that any of my ideas will get used, and I don't believe I'm funny enough to live up to the AZ standard. Scripting comic ideas is fun in itself because it's my only consistent involvement with the community. It's just a shame critique is discouraged in this thread, so it's not actually that sociable.

As for calling you out, I was merely giving you credit for having so many ideas that were clearly worth making into a comic (this I can personally and humbly vouch). The raw statistics are in your favor Omni, you are AZ's funniest user. Not to mention, your comics have made me laugh in both illustrated and script form because they're so daisies witty. You may not be playing the favorites card, but you're definitely playing the game better than most. Kudos.

Katie is picking a Kalos starter, and picks Fennekin because of its fluffy ears. Feels said fluff. Hand catches fire.

Trainer Katie is picking out what to wear and eventually decides on an incredibly fancy design. Finds it incredibly difficult to do anything.

Katie Mega-evolves Charizard in an air battle, and it turns into MegaCharizard X. Type changes from Fire/Flying to Fire/Dragon. Charizard falls to the ground.

Keep in mind, if I'm not critiquing a particular idea, it's not because it's not a good idea. I might simply have not played the game you're referencing. Is there any way to include a banana peel for simplicity in the slide comic? Or an oil slick?

Megaman sees CD in narrow hall.

Starts to slide to get it.

Looks surprised when CD becomes an Oil spot and he slides to his death on spikes.

Last panel shows Magicman and Oilman off to the side laughing.

Interpreting post as peer review. What games do you play? (Disregard most nintendo games, shadow of the colossus, that 3d dot game, and ICO)

[notideas]You can add the Halo, Kingdom Hearts, Bioshock, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter and Final Fantasy series to that list as well as a bunch of games from the NES era. I'm ancient. I haven't extensively played the Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Animal Crossing, Phoenix Wright, Half-Life, GTA or Portal series. My AC jokes come from my brother's cries of anguish as he plays the game. Some of the others I've just barely touched. I almost never make it to the multiplayer segments of any games. Very few RTS games or tactical games as a whole. Final Fantasy Tactics being an exception. Smash is about the only fighting game I've touched. I've played some classic Megaman but I'm terrible at it. Not huge on FPSs. Haven't played through any Fallout games, or done more than fiddle with Elder Scrolls. No MMOs. Very few Western style RPGs. No Call of Duty, Battlefield, Tom Clancy, or variation thereof. No pet simulators, no Harvest Moon, no Sims aside from Sim Ant. No MGS or MSG in this gamer. Note, none of these are criticisms of any of these game series, some I simply haven't gotten to, some I don't find personally appealing. I also don't like collecting baseball cards or coconut though I respect your right to both.[/notideas]

Re:Research:
Scientists work diligently at research. Finally hit upon a solution. Run to show their findings to Katie.
"We've done it!! The cure for all diseases."
Katie looks at paper. Throws it on the ground. Crosses arms and taps foot impatiently
KATIE: "And how far are we from the self-repairing catapults I asked for?"
More research required. Scientists give up and go back to their tent.

Now for the hard part. I just told you I don't play RTSs much. Which game would this fit best? Take note of which parts of the joke are easily substituted for other things. I pulled self-repairing catapults out of thin air. It could be anything really.

Contact of the Worst Kind:
Terry learns that he can develop bad karma from killing things unnecessarily. Decides to slide by and avoid as many battles as possible. Dodges bugs, crabs, mummies, skeletons, etc. Gets to the first boss. Runs as he is outmatched and under-leveled. Hits invisible wall and finds he can't run away. We pan away only to see blood spatters against invisible barrier. Terry gets back up after game over. Kills everything on his way back to the boss to boost stats.
"Now you die in blood and fire."

Now here's an idea that won't be used. Who the hell else has played this game? The number of figs I give isn't enough to make a newton out of.

Pokemon M/ Omega Evolution:
Trainer leaves Tentacool in Daycare. Comes back to find it with an Egg.
"Huh...wonder who the other parent is?"
Looks around and sees another Tentacool around the corner.
"Oh, huh. Looks like you found a friend."
Trainer wanders off with Egg. The other Tentacool floats upwards from hiding place, revealing itself as a Metroid.
Last panel shows Egg cracking.

Viola snaps a picture before her battle with Trainer Katie. The flash dazzles her and she falls off the platform. Viola looks on in shock. Then takes another picture.

French Connection:
Trainer Katie captures Weedle. Names it Ouidle.

Bug Leaders are weird

Katie beats Viola, gets the badge and Viola opens the way for Katie to leave the gym. Katie is trampled by all of the gym trainers who rush out. Katie questions what's the deal with that.

EARLIER

The trainers ask Viola for a bathroom break, as the only exit is behind her. She tells them not until a trainer beats her. Various wacky antics occur, such as someone mentioning that a youngster fell off the web into the abyss earlier and how they should fetch the paramedics, with Viola insistent on them waiting for a challenger beating her. Possibly end with Viola laughing maniacally about them being "caught in her web" or something.

back in the present, Viola merely shrugs.

Infestation Invitation

Viola uses Infestation on one of Katie's Pokemon. Pokemon is seen freaking out with hundreds of tiny bugs crawling all over it. Katie is horrified.

She gives the Pokemon a bath later and it seems clean. She pats it on the head, only for a mass migration of bugs to cover her hand.

She screams in terror and swears off bugs forever.

Photo Graphic:
Trainer Katie re-enters the photo gallery after defeating Viola. Looks at various photos. Finds one entitled "The Last Chump That Brought a Mystery Gift Torchic to Beat Me." Photo features trainer trapped in spider web or something else involving bug types and death. Katie runs/rollerblades away.
