The option to change the font size is here to allow you to make posts more comfortable to read. It helps when you make big posts, or new threads. For instance, if you'd post a review, or a roleplay/ adventure thread, different sizes (as well as colours and bold/ italic/ underlined text) make parts of the text stand out.
