i gotta say i agree with feminism and i’m a mild feminist but i think a lot of feminists take their cause to an extreme, and only advocate for things that make women almost…superior to men. do you really think a fully equal society would be good? chivalry would be dead, and women would be drafted into the military.
women and men are not equal, by nature. of course we should attempt to give all sexes and genders equal rights though

You arent, the term is just being misused. A feminist is someone who belives that women and men are equal. EQUAL. Anything else is either misandry or misoginy

That's the definition, yeah, but many people have a bit of a bad taste in their mouth from all the 'modern' feminists (who are a loud minority) supporting practices and ideas that pretty much boil down to pure misandry under the guise of supposed feminism. The kind of stuff that has been posted in this thread, for example. It has stained the visage of feminism somewhat.

Do these misandrists actually exist in the mainstream though?
People talk about them all the time and use them as an excuse to distance themselves from feminism but I've only ever seen stuff like that in the terrible depths of tumblr or something.

I've heard of feminists like that being politicians, actresses or something like that here in Iceland.
I can't remember any of the jobs these women had but they were at least somewhat in the spotlight.

Probably just don't see it a lot in america because everything political is skewed so far to the right it isn't even funny.

Yep, had someone like that in my Bio class...
Trick is she wants to be a doctor...meaning she'll have to take an anatomy class...meaning I definitely want to be in the same anatomy class SHE'LL be in...
