Pewdiepie actually acted rather shitily about the whole Retsupure thing. He started off passive aggressive and then just started up the "bros react" thing (actually he more backed it then came up with it himself, but...) and went into full jackass mode.

Walk amongst jackasses and you risk becoming one. Don't go into the comments section.

I never liked him.

But someone made a post about why he has so many followers and what they said made a lot of sense. Pewdiepie's brand of humor caters to the newbie internet users, the preteens and such, and crass/inappropriate humor has sort of a rebellious shock factor to them?

Like "oh my gosh he said rape hahahahahaha that's so funny ahahaha"

That and little kids love seeing adults scream and make stupid faces.

I don't like the man and I don't like how he was handling this. I can understand when it's a guy who's just trying to crack jokes about video games, but his videos really are that unfunny/offensive. I would have let it go if he realized that saying 'rape' is not funny, that screaming really loudly into a mic is unfunny, and that doing both at once is really not funny. I cannot fathom how anyone is defending him at all and he should have stopped this a long time ago. At least he apologized for his behavior, so there's some progress, I guess.

I thought Pewdiepie was kinda funny when I first saw him, I'm not afraid to admit that, but his act got old really fast.

I am so sorry you had to learn of his existence.

I was actully one of the people that knew about pewdiepie before he got gimmicy and did some genuinly funny stuff (i.e. nightmare house2) for a while he really was funny, I even got a bunch of my friends in on liking him too.

But now its just sorta, screaming at the mic obnoxously loud and there is nothing funny about rape jokes.

Or any of his jokes for a matter BECAUSE HE DOESNT MAKE ANY.

To me Pewdiepie is just another overhyped youtube celebrity who's going to fade into obscurity within the next couple of years.
