no he's in canada and i'm going to residential soon and that's typically 10 months - a year

At what point do you consider someone to have 'lost their virginity'?

To me, virginity defines something you haven't done before, sexual activity or not. Traditional virginity, also simply known as "virginity", would be dick in vagina. But you can have a butt virginity, oral virginity, or even things like skydiving virginity or war virginity, etc. Clear communication of what you mean is important, since a lot of people have different definitions, though.

to me a virginity is lost when you have your preferred type of intercourse for the first time. if you feel like you're not a virgin after giving/receiving oral...then you aren't. but typically (and personally for me,) dick must be in vagina or butt, or however your preferred method of lesbian sex is, to have lost your sexual virginity.

we really never got to have sex a lot anyway becuse of our living situations but after we got engaged we decided to not have any penetration sex (except on our anniversary in nov) to nullify the risk of pregnancy or UTI til our wedding since i'm still supposed to be a virgin and another UTI would be just as suspicious as buying a pregnancy test, to my parents.

i'm quite fine with it though. i have a pretty high sex drive but i can control it if i have to. and we still do toher things so it's not like we just have blue balls/ovaries haha

So as soon as there's penetration, virginity is lost? Or does there have to be ejaculation of some description? Does it have to be on the part of both participants? What about people who have non-penetrative sex with one another regularly?

I feel like there's a lot of fuzz around exactly where and when virginity is lost, to the point I'm not exactly sure what it is.
