so my mom's been blackmailing me into getting birth control shots for the past nine months or so (because if i dont then she won't let peter visit) and since then it's basically been constant bleeding with very little reprieve
after the third shot my period was supposed to stop entirely and it stopped fr like, two or three weeks and then came back and now its a constant thing again

my only other options for birth control would be a pill that also causes random bleeding AND it never stops the period altogether, OR getting those rods inserted into my arm. did i mention i am very very squeamish

Did you ask a doctor if the birth control was supposed to make your period act like that?

I'd like to start the pill myself but completely unpredictable periods don't sound like fun, even if they're lighter. Although, I already wear thin pantiliners almost every day anyway, so it probably wouldn't be a big deal

my doctor (gynecologist technically speaking) did say there'd be a little bit of spot bleeding as she called it but when she asked me how it was going during the last check-up and i told her she made it sound like it's not supposed to be that bad

she even told me that she'd give me something to make it stop for real since the third shot hadn't stopped it, but she evidently forgot and never got back to me on that

i'd ask my mom to make an appointment but?? it doesn't seem to be a health-related issue, it's just extremely obnoxious. birth control works different for everyone so it might just be taking me a little while longer to get to that point

Constant bleeding is a health issue.
You could get really sick from this, same thing happened to my friend.

it's actually not heavy at all
it's really really really light so like i said it's more of an annoyance than anything else

i think if it was really that concerning, my doctor would have been more worried instead of just brushing it off like it was no big deal

my jaw keeps twitching a lot and it's making me constantly bit the inside of my mouth and my teeth are sharp as fuck for whatever reason so i hurts like hell
