i never really understood movie dates, like you're sitting in the dark not talking? ok you could try and facebattle/put your arm round another but if you've just met that's not gonna happen so i don't think it's really a good way to get to know someone better

i haven't really been on a proper date and i don't count the last one as a date as it really wasn't

It's probably because conversation can be awkward and hard to find constant new common ground to discuss things, so the first step is just being comfortable and enjoying something together, so you're getting closer by just sharing time doing something. Then, when the movie is over, you have something to discuss, and you can potentially figure out more topics from there, get dinner/dessert, and go from there.

Having a dinner date first can be awkward and full of just going through the motions of talking about yourself or listening to the other person, not really discussing much or having a dialogue.

I've found that it's usually nicest to date someone you know you have plenty in common with. Especially for me, as I know people are only really attracted to me for my beautiful mind.

Terraem you are exactly right. It's better to know the person you want to take on a date before actually doing it, otherwise you're just hanging out with a complete stranger due to the fact that they look purddy and they said yes.

Anyway me and my lady have been at it for a month now and going strong, i gave her some shirts to sleep in and when she gave them back this morning they smelled like her. Pretty much the best thing ever.
Also I know it's wrong but there was this girl in my group that i liked, and pretended to like me but had a boyfriend and would make me really jealous when they were around because she would always facebattle him and touch him. But now they have broken up and when we all hang out and my lady is there she does the same thing i cheat glances at the other girl and her expression says it all. REVENGE IS A DISH BEST SERVED WITH HOT LADY'S!!!
