there are free ones and if you're smart about it dating sites can really be a positive experience and introduce you to a lot of people you might not otherwise meet just out in life. I know many people who met online on dating sites and are not happily married or at least still dating! there's nothing wrong with dating around if you want to, whether it's to have fun, meet people, or actually find a girl/boyfriend.

Oh, yeah of course I didn't mean any paid sites. Just the wacky fun ones.

I'm also not pretending that it's my only chance ever or whatever, especially since I'm heading off to college today(!)

It just seems kind of fun and if it winds up doing anything I wouldn't complain.
