But what do I say?
Am I supposed to ask her about her day, or ask her out on a date?

Use it to keep in touch if you liked talking to her, and maybe even ask her out if you feel so inclined.

Even just a text "Hey, how are you doing?" is an easy way to start a conversation.

You do the one you want to do. Although starting off by just chatting would probably be best as opposed to "Hi you gave me your number wanna go out later?"

Probs gonna hang out with Brock from Pokémon's ex at some point. She doesn't know I'm dating him (and have been for a few months now).

Maybe I just............ won't tell her

still, I feel a bit awkward. I consider her a friend, we just don't talk much since she moved out of town. I don't know what she thinks of him now, though.

That's really all there is to it.

Local for me is a guy I'm over who doesn't like me and a guy who is an asshole.

So if foreign Swedish guy is the best I can get right now? Cool with me.
I'm lonely as fuck and I see all of my friends getting prom dates with their actual boyfriends and girlfriends and it's hard.
I know I'll find someone local eventually, but it's hard and I'm lonely.

Heh...

...prom...

I understand that this kinda stuff seems important, but believe me when I say that not going will be no more detrimental than a cold. The truly important stuff doesn't really happen until after high schol, when you either go to college, or decide that your High School Diploma is a a well enough shield for what shenanigans life will throw at you.

Relationship shit included (especially).

Paisano i never even went to prom and I've been single for little under a year now don't sweat it too much. I've had my ups and downs with my relationships and its always worth planning it out and being patient but don't go wearing fedoras. You don't have to get the perfect guy or gal the first time around. In fact if you fuck up with someone the first couple times around join the club. You learn what to do and what not to do and you apply it for the next time.

Believe me when I say its worth sticking out for someone decent rather than going for a nice guy cause you're lonely, thats how mistakes happen cause if relationships were easy no one would be lonely.

play it cool, improve upon yourself for now if need be especially when you're young. I was the same way for a long time always lonely and sad and seeing all the pop flyin' couples but when I got a bit older it didn't matter as much, that shit is just what high school does to you. Puts a lotta pressure on social and relationship shit you may or may not be ready for via subtle peer pressure. Besides, most high school relationships bomb but you do learn from em. When you get to college go to parties or join clubs and shit. That or when you get a job you meet a whole lotta people too.

also long distance relationships can really suck if you both aren't really into it, they take a lot more work, trust, and communication from both ends to work. Not something you do for someone who sounds nice that you met recently. You always wanna be their friend and get to know them well first. You don't have the luxury of seeing them in person, knowing their quirks and such. To you they're words on a screen. Start small, learn their personality, find common ground and get comfortable and go from there. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Jesus fuck.
THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME THIS FOR THE FIFTIETH FUCKING TIME.

I know prom won't matter later. I get that, but it matters to me now. I don't know why It's so wrong care about prom and shit like that.

But this also isn't about prom, it's about the overwhelming sense of loneliness because I see all of my friends in relationships and loving it.

And besides, this guy is pretty nice.

P.S.: Sorry for being a shit about things. I'm kind of angry and i've heard that so many times and UGH. BEING A TEENAGER IS HAAAAARD~
Yeah I'm sorry I'm just going to stop talking now.

Sage Advice from the proletariats.

My mother tells me i should keep my options open, and I can see her logic in that seeing as Tuxedo Mask is miles and miles away, but I'm really REALLY BAD with flirting, e.g. i only notice i'm being given special attention after the fact. A real bummer too because they tend to be really cute sometimes and i'm a big dumb angie

i didn't say it was wrong im saying don't sweat it

in fact if you go alone you might even get with someone

high school stuff seems like a big deal now but i guarantee you in a couple years you would not even care

there are plenty of people of there just that in high school you're pretty tied down and away from the wide world
