Re: The Dating Stories/Progress thread
my dad put a letter asking my mom to marry him in a sandwich and then watched in horror as she almost ate it
very romantic
kyle had written down all these awesome proposal ideas and had been gathering this list for like a year and a half (we always knew we'd get married but wanted to wait til after we'd graduated/had jobs/etc,) then didn't use any of them haha. it was a bit hilarious because we were sitting by this little waterfall near his dad's place and i farted in front of him and he was like "lol now i can marry you" and we laughed then there was this weird moment of silence as he zoned out and went on this long string of thoughts that concluded with "why the fuck haven't i asked her yet" so he did
didn't have a ring, wasn't planning on proposing then, nothing. i'm almost disappointed because i really wanted to see what he'd come up with but i guess i will never know. unless he does some thing for when my ring actually comes in...which i doubt since he's already "proposed" again like 3 times for pictures lol

However, despite how rude she was in saying it, she does have a point. You'd be much better on saving up and waiting, Nachal.

Re: The Dating Stories/Progress thread
but that's what i have been doing
what made everyone think i hadn't?
what makes everyone on this forum think they automatically know everything about my life?
i'm actually getting sick of it

Because you post everything about your life here, usually in the form of a complaint.

hey guys, if you don't like someone put them on your 'foe' list and you'll never see their posts again. it is that simple.

Wow this is sort of a shit attitude to have.Crisp wrote:dont want us to know, then dont fuckign post.Nachalnik wrote:yep bodaciously 100% everythingSyobon wrote:Because you post everything about your life here, usually in the form of a complaint.

Nachalnik, I believe a more legitimate source for concern would be that most of your complaints are expressing difficulty; I remember you recently complained that you didn't know how to go about getting a credit card?
I'm not trying to mock or belittle you, but if you have trouble with that sort of thing then you're definitely not ready to move out and become financially independent from your family.

Re: The Dating Stories/Progress thread
It's sort of difficult to sympathize with someone who complains about something, then when those complaints are brought up in a discussion about their well-being, they shut out all logic and reason and become antagonistic.YCobb wrote: Wow this is sort of a shit attitude to have.
Re: The Dating Stories/Progress thread
Your point will get through much better if you communicate it reasonably and without jumping down Nachalnik's throat, however.

Re: The Dating Stories/Progress thread
I agree with you there, but sometimes it's hard to word a point without getting angry; especially if you personally have an issue with either the person in question or the person in question's personality type. I don't know if Crisp does, but I know from my own experience that the stronger you feel about something the more difficult it is to word it rationally.
