Oooh, relationship thread.
I've been pretty stable, one relationship for every year of highschool, and each one of them have been disastrous

Year one: Got together with a cute girl, as we went along I learned that her mother was alchoholic and beat her, she lived with foster parents. She ran away from their holiday, came and visited me, the police were involved and things got pretty awkward. She moved away for school not long after.

Year two: Got together with a bisexual nymphomaniac (had no idea), her mother was also violent, and slightly psychotic (starting to see a pattern). She was overwhelming to relate to, and pretty emotional. Ended up with she getting drunk at a party we both were at. And she cheated on me with another girl (Oh daisies).

Year three: Things are getting crazy, got together with a girl I find out is vegetarian (not my kind of lifestyle, but I have no problem with it). Turns out her being vegetarian is just an excuse to eat little, because she's anorexic. I also discover she has panic attacks pretty often. She has serious problems with her parents (this time it's her father though, who yelled at her every time she cried, et cetera). At a beach party we're at someone (probably) spiked her drink and she went into a panic attack, people had left by then and she was trying to throw herself to the sea to kill herself, had to hold her to the ground 'till the ambulance came to get her. Her parents freaked and made her move, had a long-ish-distance relationship for a while before she went to a political summer camp which ended up being attacked by an extremist who shot and killed 69 students.(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Norway_attacks). After that we broke up.

And that's the story of a guy who attracts a certain type of girl. Why the hell this happens is unknown to me, but at least I'm in a good relationship now

ok, so say you're with someone but you're really only having sex with each other and that's it, right?

if that's covered your base, then say that by extension that it's all but set in stone that that certain someone is also fucking a lot more people.

how would you take that? i didn't care for a while but it started to make me feel so secondary and unimportant. it feels dumb wanting something out of a relationship that won't give it, no matter the coercion; i don't mean that in a kind of "i want it but she won't give it" thing- i don't really feel that intimacy with her, but i want it from her

So it's not that you want to be in a relationship with this person, but rather that's it's a little offensive that she isn't satisfied with you. It's pretty reasonable to feel the way you do I reckon.

I think that means you're also becoming unsatisfied but in a different way. If a connection makes you feel bad then it's probably time to re-assess. Maybe even cut it off.
