do people here talk about their relationships openly? I can't stand it when people start putting their nose into it, personally. Obviously it's kinda hypocritical coming to this board and saying that, but I'm semi anonymous

It can be really hard to do that kinda thing in person. One way I've found that can make it easier is to maybe hang out with him alone for the day and do some fun stuff, and maybe try to gear a conversation later in the day towards that (Of course this works best if you're already friends with the guy)

Then there's always telling him somehow over the internet in a chat of some sort. That can be much easier for obvious reasons, but might be a little weird when transitioning to real life.

Well, considering he is in a timezone that has a 3 hour difference, I'm thinking a long Skype chat will be the way to do it.

Are you talking about between the two people in the relationship, or with someone outside of the relationship? If it's the former, well that can just be your attachment style, which isn't abnormal at all. If it's the later, well that can be as easy to deal with as just not bringing up relationship stuff in comversation. Anyone who will just wedge into your relationship business without you initiating it is more at fault for being a gossip than anything else...
