THen express that? Tell them that, while you know it's in good fun, you're still feeling sore about it and if they coul just knock it off.

They're all still hanging out and I'm not gonna ruin the mood, later I might.
I've just been "the strong one" in our little family for so long, if I show weakness I'm afraid what it might do to my other friends who are finally getting pop flyin' again.

Getting into a crash and losing your main mode of transportation to go to places that are a 20-40 minute drive away. I'm not so much mad at the other driver who hit me as I am bummed about the situation as a whole.

More a nervous wreck than sad
I wrote an email to my sister asking her if she knew when my mother would not be home so I could go pick up some textbooks I left there last year. She replied that we should be able to meet without anything bad happening. I replied that the one time she talked to me in almost three years she told me she had always despised me and was glad she got rid of me and that I can understand that. Then my sister wrote a long reply that boils down to "the reason we all hate you is that you hate yourself".
I guess I'll never get the answer I was looking for.
At least I did not tell her my other sister is also going to attend my father's picnic next Sunday, that would probably have scared her off and I wouldn't have had the chance to watch them try to deny each other's existence or leave as soon as they see each other or spontaneously combust or something.

Dang it, every time my sister gives me the baby she's babysitting to hold, the baby starts crying like IMMEDIATELY. I'm just holding her, what am I doing wrong...... -_-

It can smell your fear.

I'm not afraid of her, but now I'm kind of anxious to hold her again because history tells me she's going to start screaming again the minute my sister hands her to me.

I know, I was just joking. It might just be that she doesn't like switching from one set of arms to the other. If you wear a strong-smelling soap or cologne, that could do it to, I guess.

Well, according to Lauren, if the baby gets really comfortable somewhere, she doesn't like to be moved. Also she was in a bad mood.

There you go, it's not you.

Also, babies are really attached to the mother. They can hear her heartbeat and it's comforting.
Any time the mother hands over the baby, expect them to be a little bit afraid until they get to know you. Even then, they can be extremely clingy to the mom, to the point where she's often the only one that can placate the baby.

another thing to note is they don't have object permanence, so not seeing their mother means they think she has entirely vanished from existance
being a baby is probably extremely horrifying

So what I'm getting from this is the baby hates me and there's nothing I can do about it.
