Hey, I didnt say anything about moping. Life is what it is, doesnt mean you shouldnt do stuff, just dont expect it to focus on you. Life is hard, REALLY hard, and it can always get worse, so thats something to keep in mind. There's no guarantees for future happiness, or even that what you think will make you pop flyin' will actually make you pop flyin'.

Just because you aren't moping doesn't mean you should accept some idea about being small or having no guarantee of happiness.

I mean what the fuck is that? "There's no guarantees for future happiness"? Happiness isn't some lottery given to a select few, you go and secure it for yourself. Obviously bad things that are out of your control will happen but you get over it and continue to strive for happiness.

Of course you're the main character of your story, it's your bloody life. Who else could possibly be more important to you than yourself?

Don't accept "Well at least I didn't die", it's not good enough. If you are going to take the bare minimum you might as well have died.

Now I feel bad because I'm the main character of everyone's life and so few people realize it.

It's looking like I'm not gonna get to talk to my lady friend before she goes on a several-week trip

And as soon as she gets back I'm gonna be hoping a flight to visit her, so some final checkups should be happening now

One of my best friends is yelling at me because I'm not obviously worried one of my close friends might have cancer. Of course I'm worried. I flipping terrified. I don't show it because I have to be strong and my main job is a distraction from all that. If I show how worried I am, that'll just make her worse and that's the last thing I want right now.
I'm bodaciously crying right now because of this entire thing, and the fact that one of my best friends thinks I'm a cold hearted douche is just banning this worse.

I cried way to much yesterday.

Of course the only way to end this actually pretty good day was to fall down the stairs face first and get a 5" tear on my leg.

Yaaay, four of my friends (including three of my best friends) suddenly canceled their presence at my birthday, and one of them is persuaded that I only want a birthday party so I have a pretext to talk to the girl I like.

This is the first person I've liked who doesn't really mind my clinginess (though it's gotten a little better) so it kinda throws me off if he doesn't want to talk

Is he an introvert? Introverts often like to be alone just to get some quiet time, not because of any dislike of others.
