You're gonna need to start posting instructions. So the viewers at home can try it too.

Attempted making an omelet today. I got kind of worried about burning the eggs, so I took them off before they were done cooking fully. They were edible and I definitely won't get sick from eating them though.

Re: Jesus christ a food thread
Sweet baby jesus, the Kim's Korean restaurant in Spokane is awesome. bodaciously the only negative thing is "Oh god where do I park and how will I get out", unless you're willing to walk a couple of minutes and park in a different lot.
The hostess is super nice and more than pop flyin' to talk about details on cooking and language (two of my favorite things), I got my food extremely quickly, and for $11, I got:
A dinner plate packed full of Japchae and rice
Tea
10 different dishes of banchan (Korean side dishes that are served with most meals), including Kimchi, seasoned fish cake, roasted gim/nori, cucumber pickle, marinated soybean sprout, seasoned spinach, daikon pickle, shredded calamari, potato "salad", and I'm sure that there's another one I'm forgetting.
The banchan were all in small servings, since I was alone, but holy shit, between the entree and all of them, there was a solid 2 meals worth of food there.
Anyone who visits Spokane should try it if they like strong flavors, because that is something that a lot of people don't like about Korean food--the sheer amount of spice/garlic, and the fermented sides (like kimchi) can be overpowering to people who are expecting teriyaki chicken on unseasoned rice.
I'm even more excited to start cooking Korean food now.
(Prooooobably going to post a recipe for kimchi sometime soon in the tinyass kitchen thread)

Bumping this thread to continue the adventures of Saint Stops Being a Lazy booty Who's Addicted to Eating Out, One Homemade Meal at a Time:
I made some tuna salad and hoo boy I used too much mayo. I ate it over pasta, and I think all I really wanted was like, tuna and veggies over pasta. Welp, I learned to never use more than a barely-necessary amount of mayo in anything, ever.

Re: Jesus christ a food thread
Oh man, my shiitake miso turned out gorgeous and delicious. (lightweight experiment)

(put a small pile of cold bean thread noodles in as an extra bit of pretty with the green onion.)
Here's hoping that sourdough-battered, fried potatoes turn out equally well (slightly more involved experiment)
EDIT: Sweet baby jesus, they did. I steamed them a little too long, and I forgot to let my oil get hot enough, so they weren't as crispy as they could have been, but they are so delicious.

(garnish is a mix of mayo and gochujang, with some green onion.)
Okay, final food brag:
vanilla ice cream with a homemade red apple syrup, and the candied apple peels that I used to flavor and color the syrup. The red got a little less vibrant in the camera, though.

I definitely thought that was bacon in your ice cream, and I got a little bit worried

hahaha, that's what Sloth said. Although I would be worried about the yellow bacon second from the right, whether it was in ice cream or not.
They look less like bacon, and more like frosted leaves in person.

Re: Jesus christ a food thread
That's a pretty small stretch though, the starch in the potatoes is mildly sweet, and the light salt taste complements a creamy sweet taste well.
