I'd recommend everyone to check out this food show. It doesnt really do it justice to call it 'alternative', because most of the stuff they cover is outright bizarre. Including food based on rodents and other less than popular animals, as well as various bodily fluids.

I haven't checked the quality of the subs and some of the humor is inevitably lost in translation, but that's just how it goes.

And if you're wondering who these guys are, it might be good to know that they created a popular alternative travel show called Madventures some years back and much of the stuff covered here is based on that.

Made a weird mix of Spanish rice, chicken, and way too much tomato. It's pretty good but I'm wondering if it'd be better if I wrapped it in a tortilla. Then again the carb content might be redundant with the rice. Hmmmm

So does anyone else understand what I'm talking about when I say that there are certain foods that are just not filling enough to be a meal and too filling to be a snack? I think the first examples of this that I've experienced are Svenhard's breakfast claws

Has anyone else had these or their variation... things before by the way? Other than what I just said about them they're pretty good but I've never in my life ever heard anything about these things from anyone.

Chicken patties are delish.
I don't know what chemicals they add to make the chicken taste better,
but I don't care because it tastes amazing

Living on my own has made me realize how much milk I drink, I thought I drank less milk considering it started giving me cramps, but no, I drink ALL OF THE MILK EVERY WEEK.

I can only pour scrambled egg onto chicken-flavored ramen and fry that for a bit. That is the extent of my abilities.

The things you really need for fried rice:
- Cumin
- Coriander
- Laos
- Curcuma
- Soy Sauce
- Sambal, if you can get it outside of the Netherlands/Indonesia

Other than that it's super easy. Also, I'd recommend chicken thighs over breast/filet.

Today I made brown butter for cookies.

I'll post pics of the cookies tomorrow because I'm cooling the dough overnight.

Looks delicious. You could call it pasta bake and it would be completely accurate.

Haha, thanks. Apparently it was well received at the party, so yay!

I also made apple bread today, but that one didn't turn out as well. I toothpick tested it to see if it was done baking, and it came out sticky, not doughy, making me think it was done and I just caught it on a piece of apple. Apparently that wasn't the case. Oh well, live and learn.
