Man, I was gonna make some queso but it turns out I have the wrong kind of cheese. I'm not even sure if I have enough salsa anyway. I was really craving some too... maybe I'll eat something else with cheese in it.

Oh daisies, I really want some of that now too. Hmm, I might have to go shopping soon.

I found I can make cheap red beans and rice if I use hot dogs. Hey, it works.

It's been a while, I can get away with not editing my old post right?

Back on topic, things I have cooked recently:

Image
Creamy chicken and vegie soup thing. (Partner got sick and I insisted they eat something hearty)

Image
Chicken and vegie pastries, easy-as. Just scooped the left over chicken and veg into some puff pastry.

Image
Beef bourguignon.

Bonus round:

The vegetable preparening!

That looks tasty. Can I like, hire you to make me food when I'm sick?

Sure, just pay for my ticket to Texas and we'll be right.

May I present to you, the first thing fed to foreigners who come to Finland:

Mämmi.

It looks like that shit you took after 5 cups of black coffee but tastes pretty good in small portions. It's porridge-like and made of rye and goes well with cream, as seen here.

I just got back from the Taste of Our World cultural diversity festival my university was putting on RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY DORM. SO MUCH FOOD. I had Italian meatballs, Polish pirogues, Russian stroganoff, Ukrainian borsch, sushi, Japanese mochi, mafe-peanut root and vegetable stew, samosas with mango sauce, Nigerian coconut macaroons, hominy stew, churros, Mexican mole con arroz y queso fresca, Argentinean ceviche y guacamole con tortillas azul, gumbo, and ice cream with bananas foster. I was kind of full after the macaroons but I didn't let anything like my stomach stop me from eating enough for twelve people. I'm going to fall into a food coma now, if you don't see me by next week, send help (and mochi - that stuff was like cookie dough and it was amaaaaziinnnng).

Suddenly craving some chow mein and orange chicken.

Curse you, fast-food Chinese, for being so delicious.
