I agree with Ycobb, that was my first thought too.

My dad's computer speakers would occasionally pick up radio signals from semi trucks driving by on the highway. At max volume, no matter what volume the speakers were set to. Scared the shit out of us when it first happened.

That's pretty interesting, actually. Maybe the huge flat sides of the trucks were amplifying the signal? I always figured it'd be solely dependant on the size of your 'antenna,' but I guess a big enough antenna could transmit it back out.
Since this is garbled English, please refer to the brutal attack of confusion.

For a school project we have to set up a server with security vulnerabilities, scan it with a vulnerability scanner such as Nessus and then fix said vulnerabilities. Any suggestion how to introduce vulnerabilities? Currently I'm trying to install a bunch of outdated versions of stuff like Tomcat. OS is Windows Server 2012 R2.

Install unpatched DNS server roles. There are quite a few very bad vulnerabilities in that service. Not entirely sure what version you want.

Pretty stupid question, but how would I go about doing that? So far on Windows we've just installed server roles through the server manager.

Honestly, I have only installed roles through server manager/PowerShell myself. I'm not entirely sure how you install a specific version.

IF I know my Microsoft well enough, your installation image will come pre-patched to a point. You could go into the Windows Update menu and start removing/adding patches that relate to the vulnerability you want to create.

This is the kind of vulnerability you want to recreate:

And now for that rare moment when Airra doesn't know how to do something with a computer!

I went over to use the computer, recently, but it refused to boot up, despite my politely asking it to proceed to the desktop. Instead, it greeted me with no video, followed by a long beep and two short beeps, repeating rhythmically.

So far that I know, this is a graphics card problem, but I don't have any more understanding than that, and Googling information has been a real chore on this tablet, finding no useful information in the past two hours as to a solution to fix it.

Last I recall, my brother was playing games on it before I went to sleep. I believe we reinstalled the video card drivers shortly before and it was working fine (the game wouldn't boot before then). However, I don't think it was restarted or powered down until after I went to bed.

So, I have no idea how to fix this.

Do you know what motherboard your computer has? Each company has different post(power on self test) error codes. Those beeps should tell you exactly what the problem is if you can find it. It would probably be on the company's website.

Good news and bad news.

Goods news: When I opened it up, I found that my brother apparently pulled out a RAM card and didn't properly put it back. Pushed it into place and it sprung to life when I pressed the power button.

The bad news: I don't get 60 FPS Dark Souls 3 until Sunday.

So for the past couple days my youtube page has looked like this. It's the same whether I'm looking at my subscriptions page or the home page or one of the channels I'm subscribed to.

I've cleared my cache and cookies. I've rebooted my computer. I've disabled my youtube extensions.

Does it do that in other browsers like Firefox? If not, try updating or reinstalling chrome.

So my mother and I use Samsung Galaxy S6's and we both have Sprint as our service provider. Over the past 6 months or so whenever my mom sends a text with a picture attached (and ONLY with a picture attached) it comes up as my phone number, and we have no idea why. We do not share the same email or anything like that, my phone is up to date, and again, it's only when sending pictures. She went over to the Sprint building in our area and they were stumped with it as well. This even applies when she sends pictures to me, we did it as a test and it came up as me sending a picture to myself.

Update: according to SIM card status me and my mom have the same phone number, despite the number I and others use to call and text her with being completely different

Update the second: nvm my mom fixed the problem somehow

I've got an old crappy computer that I decided to hook up in the living room for my siblings to use. The Windows installation on it was full of viruses from my sister using it, and I lost the key a couple years back, so I just installed Ubuntu on it. Now, it boots up fine, but after about 5 minutes, it crashes and a lot of diagonal white and purple lines show up on the screen. I thought it was the CPU overheating so I applied some new paste to it and cleaned out all the dust, but that didn't fix it. Any ideas what else it could be? About 5 seconds before the crash happens, the screen freezes if that helps any. I'm thinking it's either the crappy onboard graphics on the computer, or just a borked installation.

EDIT: It's Ubuntu 14.04 if that changes anything.

EDIT 2: Here's a picture of it.
