A.The official plural of Prius is "Prii"
B.the entire design of the car based on a hybrid platform is an engineering farse. rip out all the hybrid gear and put a standard 1.6L toyota engine in it and you'd get 5-15 MPG better. Go buy a toyota yaris (AKA vitz) and give it an aero kit.

The fact is that Toyota makes a shitload off the prius, and people flock to technology like kids in a candy store.

the reason it gets 50MPG is it's aerodynamics. it has the lowest drag ratio out of any production vehicle. the weight of a battery system only hurts mileage.
