I am occasionally quite critical/harsh of other people in my posts, but even my most abrasive posts have been heavily softened from their original drafts.

I can be very vitriolic if I want, but I try to be honest without unnecessarily hurting people's feelings - though sometimes a glancing blow against somebody's ego is the only way to drive a point home.
