Jar Jar could've passed for a children's movie but in Star Wars he just didn't fit.

It was just so out of place seeing an over the top goofy and clumsy character in a setting that's supposed to be (mostly) serious.

I loved Jar Jar but that's because I saw the movie in theaters when I was four years old.

Looking back, he didn't suit the movie in any way.

i remember seeing the movie when i was really little and not even caring, like the whole movie i just didn't care until like qui-gon died and i was like "nooo you're the only person who i gave a shit about"

and then my mom apparently fell asleep during it and wanted to go back to the theaters to see it again and i cared even less

A year in which Frozen is even in the running is a bad year for animation
OK, this is what I'm talking about. I'm not saying anything bad about creaky and DEFINITELY not trying to start an argument about it, but I saw this and had this brief moment of thinking, "Nope nope nope he's wrong it was good".

I should finish my project that's due tomorrow but I want to play XCOM. Probably going with XCOM for now.

But Phantom Menace was a children's movie.

I'm hopelessly confused by XCOM UFO Defense. I get it but they throw a lot at you with no explanation so I'm very unsure of any sort of strategy.

JarJar weirded me out as a kid. I'm not sure how old I was when I saw the movie, but I just know he looked the creepiest, and I'd cringe when he talked.

I think I dislike people imitating voices. Like when kids would imitate JarJar or Stitch for the whole day. I'd cringe and stop talking to them. Also when my parents repeat words or phrases, I know it's either cause they're amused by it or they're trying to remember it, but it just grates on my ears. Copy catting isn't that annoying though, unless my big brother did it.

It's not that it wasn't good. It's that it wasn't as good as what a lot of people thought it should have been. For most people that I've talked to, the soundtrack was what made them like it, not the animation and not the story. I haven't seen it, so I can't give an opinion myself. But being in a demographic where I am surrounded by people that actually do bother to go and watch that kind of movie, I can tell you what large portions of people thought.

The transition from doing absolutely nothing all day to going to school and figuring out life and stuff is going to be jarring. Being the last semester of my senior year, I have to figure out graduation, decide how I wanna get teacher certification done, make sure my schedule is in order, all on top of the usual school business. Especially since I'm trying to make an effort to overhaul and improve my study habits (never too late, right?).

I can't say I'm demotivated, it's really just that it's a lot on my plate and I'm worried I will fall behind or miss something somewhere or another. Really that's kind of the story of my life.

Yo if there's a career where I can play video games all the time that'd be great
...still contemplating going back to school after teaching for a little while, maybe get into something involving computer science.
but that's too far in the future for me to bother thinking about now.

Not children enough though to warrant Jar Jar. Not enough at all.

Go back in time 15 years and become one of the Penny Arcade guys. Of course, then youd have to run a charity and a convention later on so thatd still be pretty stressfull

I don't like carving. Wood, stone, metal work, I just really don't enjoy it. My hands also get all sorts of beaten up and I have many scars from slips and mess ups.

I much prefer sewing and molding clay.

My own extreme expectations cause me to be angry at my placing second.
