Actually, acting like a caring person is even kind of looked down upon. I recently had a chat with a guy who said "Hey Chandler" (my real name's not Chandler, if it was I'd fucking murder my parents for that) "Hey Chandler", he said "you're really too nice.
- What do you mean ?
- Well you shouldn't be nice to people.
- Why not ?
- Because people are assholes, so you should be an asshole to them.
- Well I merely have to be nice to people who are nice too, and avoid assholes. That's as simple as that.
- Well no, because everyone's an asshole, you know.
- Uh, you just said I was nice, so I guess everyone's not an asshole.
- Yeah, everyone but two or three people like you."

But then, Trygve, why don't you be what you really are, what you feel like, and hang with people who like that being ? Or why not being what you really are, and force people you already hang with to accept it ? To like it ? That'll teach 'em.

I'm not sure I can really say I perfectly know what you're talking about -I'd have to really talk with you for a long time to really do, and no one could say "I know !" from just some little things you said; but I still care and hope you at least don't feel awful from doing so.
Anyway, I still believe war's not the greatest stuff on this planet. So heh -hope you'll find a diplomatic truce, somhow.

Imo, whoever thinks most people are assholes, either hasn't met enough of them(and by met, I mean actually getting to know them) or just has been very unlucky.

We never really said that most people are bad, just that there are instances of them.

Normally I'd like to think I'm a pretty nice guy, but if someone has wronged me, or a friend, I can get pretty manipulative and mean, the whole mind games type. I kind of like it, I don't like that I like it, but the satisfaction of knowing you've crushed someone who hates you, ruined their social life, made them restart everything they've worked towards because they tried to ruin me, or a friend, is just crazy good.

Well if someone wrongs a friend, I'll do the same. I'm very protective of my friends, and I prefer not to physically injure people... But I don't go too far. I don't ruin them or something, unless I'm SERIOUSLY angry.
