THis is less NEWS OMAHGAWDS and more "so this happened".

There is a popular channel network on Youtube called the Yogscast. The main channel is one of the most susbscribed on Youtube with 4.5 million subscribers (14th most subscribed, they have the most channel views behind RWJ). The people who appear in the videos and run the channels (and the Yogscast business) are all adults, most of them 25+ years old. Several of the channels in their network have been given awards BY YOUTUBE for being excellent and popular and all that stuff.

The main channel was shut down earlier, and this email was sent:

People say this is just a case of Youtube's automatic system being retarded, but then there is this:


If anybody had actually even looked at a single one of the videos for five seconds they would have either SEEN that they were all way older than 13 or heard their very adult voices. I mean come on, you don't just shut down one of the biggest channels on the site. If the message is to be believed, then there is someone sitting in an office somewhere just clicking "BAN" on every report that comes in (sounds like the proletariats we have here. ).

Anyway, the Yogscast contacted Youtube and it took them like five hours but the channel is mostly all restored now.
