Betting on it being some sort of domestic white conservative terrorist. Based purely on the fact that today is both patriot's day and tax day.

I would assume the marathon was targeted because there would be tons of people there, and it was dedicated to the Sandy Hook shooting victims.

Because there was nobody else with burns running away from fucking explosionsLaw enforcement officials told NBC News that authorities talked at length to a 20-year-old Saudi man who is in the United States on a valid student visa. He was seen running from the blast area, had burns and was questioned for hours in a Boston hospital.
It was his apartment building, in the Boston suburb of Revere, that police and federal agents searched overnight. Officials cautioned that the man may turn out to have been an innocent bystander and said it was too early to know.

Oh look, a Saudi looking man in a crowd of thousands of people. He must be it. Because there's no way a white guy could make a bomb.

A number of people greater than zero at my school think that it was justified.

Keep in mind that the opposite is true as well. We shouldn't be profiling in either direction because the answer could lie anywhere in the spectrum.D-vid wrote:Oh look, a Saudi looking man in a crowd of thousands of people. He must be it. Because there's no way a white guy could make a bomb.

Isn't that like the most common way to try and poison officials? Did the sender really think it would work?

Re: The Current Events Thread
Someone (likely the same person) also tried to poison a senator with the same method.
And it never works because if you're an important person your mail is checked for anything dangerous and you probably have people who read it and respond for you anyway.
