It says that the Kansas government (any part of it, including local towns, etc.) cannot put any cheddar towards any "sustainable development" (i.e. energy sources other than oil/gas/anything that there is a limited amount of)

Silly D-vid, you should know that if there is any news story that has to do with bombs, weaponry, politics in general, American politics specifically, Obama specifically, parenting styles, the middle-east, religion, or basically anything under the sun except geography (or something else nobody would click on anyway) then you don't read the comments.

2 confirmed dead, 22 injured. Hoo boy.
I mean, all hail the pancake pope!
Re: The Current Events Thread
On the bright side of things, bombings usually lead to more than two deaths.

Not that that makes this any betterMete wrote:On the bright side of things, bombings usually lead to more than two deaths.

Re: The Current Events Thread
Ahaha, I showed my roommate the news report on MSN and it's big headline is like
BREAKING NEWS: Boston police report two dead, 23 injured in Boston Marathon explosions.
2 EXPLOSIONS ROCK BOSTON MARATHON
And directly underneath it in the editor's picks articles it says
Are bras a waste of time?
We cracked up laughing so hard.
Also don't we have a forumite or two who live in/near Boston?

No, but it could've easily been worse.Tammerath wrote:Not that that makes this any betterMete wrote:On the bright side of things, bombings usually lead to more than two deaths.

Re: The Current Events Thread
Reports appear to still be conflicting but I'm seeing between 2 and 12 dead, and between 23 and over 50 injured for the low and high end of estimates. Apparently many of the injured were injured very severely, with reports of missing or badly maimed limbs, intense burns and so on. I heard they were reluctant to say specifically whether it was bombs but police have indicated it appears to be have been caused by a pair of small, home-made explosives.
