The Current Events Thread
Re: The Current Events Thread
You know I just gotta wonder if they do that sort of thing because they don't actually watch porn or because they don't want to admit they watch porn so they attack it as much as possible?

Why not both?
The people who watch it feel ashamed (and probably have means to get around the block if they need to), and the people who don't probably hate it because they don't understand it/it's not important to them, so get rid of it!

According to all the Catholic folks in my Facebook friends (and anyone else who's been paying attention) a new pope has been chosen. No word on who it is yet.
The smoke signal thing they do at the Vatican is kinda cool. Black smoke when they haven't decided yet, white smoke and bells when the new pope is chosen.

It's a cardinal from Argentina, as far as I know.
Re: The Current Events Thread
Correct. He will be Pope Francis (I think the First). Also, he's the first ever Latin American Pope, and he's a Jesuit.Obnosim wrote:It's a cardinal from Argentina, as far as I know.
I mean, all hail the pancake pope!

So apparently someone liked Kinder Surprise eggs so much he put a ton of effort into revamping them to make them legal for the US.

I gotta say though, there's something fucked up in our government if there can be $2500 fines per chocolate egg when they're being intended for personal consumption.

So according to this

Scientists managed to clone the embryos of an extinct species, the gastric-brooding frog which has been extinct since 1983.
Project is dubbed the Lazarus project (popular name it seems).
