Minting a coin requires a minimum number of the coins to be made. They could then be put into the system as actual cheddar, and go straight into paying off debt.

It's cheddar creation without needing to back it (after all, nothing is really backed anymore, it's all just kept in check with other currencies).

However that leads to:

Which means if they mint it, it'll either sit in the federal reserve and collect dust as a novelty of sorts, or it'll flood the system with cheddar and potentially rock the worldwide system a bit (if not more) in a ploy to say that we paid off our debt/have a more secure footing without needing to adjust the debt ceiling once again.

Why was she trying to go to Catholic hospitals to try and get an abortion at all? I thought it was common knowledge that they don't deal with abortions or contraception at those hospitals.

Alright, so can you clear this up for me? Are you saying that they refused to treat any injuries and illness, or that they only refused to provide a method of abortion? Because if it's the second one, then I don't know why she expected a Catholic-run hospital to give her a morning after/plan B.

Yes, but after going to the first hospital, I don't understand why she would expect the second one to have a different policy. Did the hospitals have "Saint", "Our Lady", "Sacred" or any other such words in the name? Usually that's a big tip-off.

That still doesnt rule out the "stupidity" option. Youd be surprised how persistent dumb people can be.
