Sounds... interesting. xD
We slide a ball

down a stick

and everyone gets drunk and cheers

That's it.
Basically. In Times Square in New York, there's a big sphere set up--it looks kind of like a Super Smash Bros party ball. Everyone gathers in Times Square and the 'popular' bands of the year--which in this case probably means Justin Bieber, ugh--perform songs and dances, and there are prize drawings, and then everyone counts down the final ten seconds of the new year as the party ball starts dropping down, and when the hour rolls over everyone screams and cheers and the party ball spews confetti everywhere.

And then the inmates clean up all the trash and confetti, I'm assuming.

Yus, I decided to check out a few videos of it on Youtube.

The firework displays and things are certainly a lot more elaborate than ours. ._.

Because America is all about explosions.
Britian is too classy to have explosions of that magnitude.

gonna just copypaste this
[9:41:58 PM] Dewey Defeats Truman: if things stay the way they are right now (which i'd bet they will) i'll be bringing in the new year with a thunderstorm i don't like while barely talking about videogames on /v/ and listening to retsupuraes
[9:42:01 PM] Dewey Defeats Truman: living the dream
[9:42:54 PM] Dewey Defeats Truman: well either that or watching the ball drop on TV, which I can not even pretend to care about
[9:43:17 PM] Dewey Defeats Truman: then again i don't honestly think of new years eve to be much of a holiday, except for the fact it's my dad's birthday

Two hours for Central. Staying up until midnight is no longer a feat for me, but I'll do it anyway.
The A in this case stands for Armageddon. As in, Armageddon a boner because this plane has a fucking HOWITZER sticking out of it.

ONE MORE HOUR.

I'm glad I actually get to see the ball drop, unlike when I was a kid.

I was on Warcraft this morning, and people from Australia were already saying pop flyin' New Year to each other. Trade channel was clogged more than usual.
