I've always liked the Bamboo Pen.
It's usually under $100 US.

I prefer Pen tablets, as touch tablets screw up because I tend to rest my hand on the tablet while drawing.

I have a Bamboo Fun, but I never actually use it. It's just too awkward for me to draw on something that I can't actually see my sketch on. :\

Yes, the Intuos series is very pleasable. I have myself tried it, though it vas the number 3, but my friend told me that she had tried Intuos 4 at her friend's house and that it vas quite orgasmic.

The only tablet I have is a Wacom Graphire 4.

They are really good and can take a beating if you ever drop them accidentally.
I've knocked my tablet hundreds of times off my desk and it still works perfectly.

I'll tell you more or less what I tell everyone
If you just want something you can draw on the computer with, get a bamboo fun
If cheddar isn't an option or you're more serious about doing art, get an intuos4
if cheddar REAAAALLLLYYY isn't an option save up for a nice $2000 cintique

My tablet is the skulls of the innocent pounded to powder and melted to form the most magnificient slab known to man.
My pen is the blood of those who oppose my reign, trapped within the souls of the dark.
