"Thank you so much for saving my baby, young man! Here, come to my house so I can thank you properly!"

The goose woman hefts you under her wing and carries you off to her house.

She sits you down on a stool and hands you a warm cup of tea. She starts talking about how she's a giant talking goose, but you were too preoccupied with your tea to listen properly.

She shoves a bundle into your hands.

"Here, try these on! Your clothes look so threadbare, I can't let you walk away looking so shabby, especially after you saved my child."

Oh wow! These are really comfy! You look so spiffy!

The goose-lady hands you one other item.

"This belonged to my late husband. I had never intended to part with it, but.. you seem like you travel quite a bit, and I'd rather you have it than let it sit here and collect dust."

You got a knapsack! You can now carry items! Hooray!

You are moved to tears by the goose-lady's kindness.

You thank her for her generosity and depart to continue your journey.

After a while, you come across a bridge. It looks sturdy enough.

You can cross the bridge or find another way across the canyon.

You start to cross the bridge but you are immediately confronted by a strange-looking midget.

"State yer bizness, longlegs! Ye can't be crossin' dis bridge wiffout my permission! Be dangerous otterwise!"

You could ignore the midget creature and try to cross the bridge or ask what the creature is.
