like, if you're going to paint photorealistically why not just draw something really weird? it seems kind of dull if you can paint something that a decent photographer can just take a picture of

Some people are more into just doing the technique, or maybe these are images that he finds fun to paint.

Not everyone is into painting surrealism and crazy stuff like that.

You can praise the talent but you don't have to like the content.

Like how I really like Starfighter's artwork but I am not into the yaoi in it
