My cat still does that.

She's 12 (13, maybe) years old and she insists on climbing me wherever I go, partially because she hates my dogs, but she did it before they were here. But I love her and the only time I don't enjoy it is when she uses her claws to hold steady. I feel like a pirate when she's relaxing on my shoulder.

And she does anything to get my attention, like every other cat. She pushes my DS out of the way to lay down on me, she bites my fingers if I'm not petting her, and she follows me everywhere in the house, staring at me and meowing.

Look at me gushing about my cat. I need pictures of it. This thing has taught me how to love.

I would describe my cats as parrot cats when they rode in my shoulders.

My cat jumps on people's backs sometimes.

We always have to warn people when they come over so they don't get a big fright.

My cat used to climb on my dad's shoulders when she was little; that was actually one of the reasons we chose her at the animal shelter.

She rarely ever tries to climb on people's backs, but one day a few summers ago I was sitting on my knees with my elbows on the couch, reading a book. Just then wouldn't you know it, my cat for the first and only time ever, decided she would climb on my sunburned back to get on the couch and I flipped her off of my back and she ran like hell.
