Facebook Lawsuit
One the 29th of September 2009, Jack Thompson filled a law suit for $40 million against Facebook at U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Jack Thompson said that the social networking site had harmed him by not removing angry postings made by Facebook users. He said that several groups caused him great harm and distress. According to Parry Aftab, a cyber-law attorney; Jack Thompson is not likely to have any success as per the U.S. Communications Decency Act which states that companies like Facebook have no liability for what people do with their services. I also like how he tried to stop the release of a Mortal Kombat game, not because of the violence, but because you could create a character that looked kind of like him.
I would like to present a witty reply to all of your comments, but instead I shall provide you with this image of a orangutan.
